TABLE OF CONTENTS
EVEN THOUGH WE ARE COMPLETELY IMMERSED IN THE DIGITAL WORLD, THAT DOES NOT MEAN WE DON’T ADORE PERSONALIZED DETAILS SUCH AS HANDWRITTEN NOTES. IT’S A GESTURE WE BELIEVE IS SMALL BUT MIGHTY. THIS DECEMBER 26, WE WILL BE CELEBRATING NATIONAL THANK YOU NOTE DAY — THE PERFECT DAY TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THOSE PRESENTS!
If you’re looking for local shops to help build your thank you note collection for National Thank You Note Day, then you’re in luck! We searched from Winter Park to Ivanhoe Village to bring you some of our most coveted card and stationery shops in Orlando. Whether you are a small business or a far from it, this is your chance to participate in a day that shows that you are gracious — ’tis the season!
Rifle Paper Co.
If you have ever wandered into an Anthropologie and found yourself at the stationary section, then you certainly have seen the work of Rifle Paper Co., a stationary and lifestyle brand based in Winter Park, FL. At the time, this small business was founded by a husband and wife team, Anna and Nathan Bond in 2009 and since then, they have grown into an international brand and a Florida treasure. As a small business ourselves, we can’t help but feel inspired by their story and our office is always decked out with Rifle Paper Co. notebooks, planners and even their new keychains!
Paper Goat Post
You’ll be seeing double when you walk into Paper Goat Post due to it being owned by twin sisters who have a passion to save the art of snail mail and a love for goats — hence the name. Founded in 2015 (the year of the Goat), Megan and Cedar have created a creative space that goes well beyond stationary. Not only do they host workshops where you can work on your calligraphy, but they also have a bar! Well, a balloon bar where patrons have the opportunity to build their own.
Lure Paper Goods
When it comes to stationary, Lure Paper Goods is definitely unique! All of their cards, journals and posters are designed and printed by hand in their studio. The design studio was founded on a love for screen printing and with that, Lure Paper Goods began about a decade ago. They have been delivering one-of-a-kind stationery to Orlando; where no two pieces are alike or mass-produced, ever since! We appreciate the craftsmanship and detail that goes into each card!
R. Nichols
Nestled in Audubon Park, R. Nichols is a stationery and gift shop that has a mission to bring joy and sophistication to the world through creative and happy designs. R. Nichols has a recognizable silhouette style that stems from a sixth-grade cut-and-paste school project by co-owner, Nick Hanzlik. The rest is history. Anda Lucia Ariail is also co-owner and the business-savvy side of R. Nichols. She spent years as a professional model and actress. She even has seven years in the Marketing Department of the Orlando Sentinel under her belt. We love their creativity!
Bright Light Paper
Even though Bright Light Paper doesn’t have a storefront, owner Elizabeth’s online shop is a fantastic place to visit, and she sells her cards at many locations throughout Orlando. She started Bright Light Paper in 2012 and named it after her Grandma, who used to make her own cards as well! Elizabeth wishes to bring smiles and spread love and light to anyone and everyone. She finds the best way to do this is through drawing or writing. What better way than with a hand-painted greeting card? Our sentiments, exactly.
We hope our favorite card and stationery shops in Orlando will get you excited about repurposing the art and sentiment of a handwritten thank you note for National Thank You Note Day! We wish we had all of your addresses so we could send you a thank you note for reading this blog post!
