As you probably already know, Instagram is one of our favorite platforms. We decided to put our skills and Instagram abilities to the test. Here’s a breakdown of what we did to use our marketing expertise to help a client grow their following.

CLIENT BACKGROUND

Our client has a digital print download shop that is coming soon. They wanted to grow their Instagram account online and also weight which digital prints did better in order to know which prints they wanted to sell.

THE CHALLENGE

We tasked ourselves with getting 75 new followers per week. By getting these followers, the goal is to increase their online presence and to help those customers go to their Etsy site when it’s live.

Along with gaining followers, we wanted at least 2-3 people commenting on photos. Followers is one thing but finding people who will interact is another- hence ‘social media.’

SOLUTION

The solution for this client is to interact with their target market. We found accounts that had the same target market and followed them. We interacted with them and conversed with them ultimately leading them back to the Instagram page and doing the same with the client’s content.

We also knew we needed to post photos that are high-quality and ones that people could relate to. After looking at all of the prints and designs the client sent to us, we took it upon ourselves to work in a photoshoot and edited the photos to ensure optimal interaction when posting.

RESULTS

As of this writing, South Street & Co. created and started their Instagram account three and a half weeks ago. As of this time, the client now has 337 followers. Therefore, we will be directing the majority of those people to their soon-to-come Etsy site.

DATA ANALYSIS

We’ve seen a HUGE increase since we first created the Instagram account compared to others within the same time frame. There are approximately two comments on the photos and some of the photos have over 70 likes within the three and a half weeks. When the client does decide to open their Etsy account we’ll be pushing traffic to that account to help increase and kick off the downloadable prints.

CLIENT SUMMARY AND FORECAST

Based on these impressive statistics above and the interaction we’ve received thus far, we believe that over the next 12 months the client’s page will grow between 75-100 people per week using ways that don’t go against Instagram’s policies and utilizing other accounts to help the growth continue.
